2nd £150 towards environmental improvements – Term Time Wear

3rd £100 towards environmental improvements - Huddersfield Central Lodge

The 2009 Huddersfield Green Business Awards is a FREE competition open to every business in the Huddersfield Town Centre and all members of the HTCPL. As well as celebrating environmental best practice, the awards aim to encourage local businesses to adopt even more measures to reduce their environmental impact and to save them money through reduced energy, water, transport, and waste disposal costs. The awards replace the previous Huddersfield Tidy Trader Awards.

The Awards have been developed in partnership between Huddersfield Town Centre Partnership, Kirklees Council’s Environment Unit and the Green Business Network. All entrants will have three chances of winning prize money to go towards environmental improvements (£150 for first prize, £100 for second and £50 for third).

A case study showing the measures that other businesses have taken to reduce their environmental impact and to save money is also downloadable on the far right with a full application form.

The application process is very easy. Simply fill in the form attached to this letter and return it by email or post by Tuesday 30 June 2009 (see details at the end of the form).

FREE help and advice is available to all Kirklees businesses from the Green Business Network. Your business is entitled to a FREE Environmental audit highlighting the many ways that you are able to reduce your environmental impact and to save money.
