What time does the festival start and finish?
The festival will open at 10am and will close at 6pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sunday.

Do I need a ticket?
No, this is a free event and you can just turn up.

Where will I be able to park?
Cars can be parked at all long stay car parks (Springwood or Cambridge Road) as well as shoppers car parks in the town. Click here to access a map showing parking in the town.

Can I come by public transport?
The Festival is right outside Huddersfield railway station and is just a short walk from the bus station.

How suitable is the site for buggies or wheel chairs?
A tarmac and Yorkshire stone flag route runs the length of the site and is suitable for wheel chairs and buggies. Some of the activities will need to be reached by short distances across slightly uneven cobbles.

Can I go and do something else while my children are busy making something?
Sorry no, children must be supervised by parents or guardians at all times.

I'm under 16, and I'd like to come on my own, can I?
Sorry, no. No children under the age of 16 will be allowed on site without an adult, but we are very keen for children of all ages to come with a parent or adult.

Can I bring my dog?
Unfortunately due to the amount of people on site, no dogs will be allowed apart from assistance dogs.

Can I bring a picnic?
It shouldn’t be necessary - there will be all kinds of food to eat on the spot, including, French, Bangladeshi, Indian, Thai, Mexican, Argentinean and Italian. There will also be a number of different drinks outlets, serving everything from the traditional cuppa to delicious fruit smoothies.

Is more or the less the same thing happening on all days?
Partly, the cookery demonstration theatre has different chefs performing on all four days. The majority of the stalls remain the same for the duration of the festival.
