Thursday 13 August

11.15am to 1.00pm
The Mayor of Kirklees will open the Festival followed by the annual “Sporting Chef of the Year” competition with Huddersfield Giants ably assisted by local chef Tim Bilton from the Butchers Arms and Richard Greenway The old Farm House Restaurant.

1.00pm to 2.00pm
Catherine's Choice will be cooking recipes using some of their delicious sauces.

2.00pm to 3.00pm
Tahir Javed, head chef from Ali Murad will be cooking chicken karai.

3.00pm to 4.00pm
Allison Whitmash from Propermaid will be showing us how to make a delicious Courgette and Lime Cake.

4.00pm to 5.00pm
Richard Greenway head chef from The Old Farm House Restaurant will be demonstrating several modern British dishes.

Friday 14 August

11.00am to 12.00 noon
Arron Bradshaw, one of the team of chefs from The Head of Steam will be showing us how to prepare and carve a fresh chicken. He will then demonstrate a variety of dishes from the various cuts.

12.00 noon to 1.00pm
Dale Slingsby from Ciao Bella will be demonstrating some typical Italian dishes.

1.00pm to 2.00pm
Finca Las Moras -An introduction to wines will be demonstrated by Las Moras wines from Argentina. Want to understand the basic concept of food and wine matching? Las Moras wines ably demonstrate that you don’t always have to spend a fortune to get good wine.

2.00pm to 3.00pm
Sylvia Shaw will be showing us how to make a Frittata and other healthy one pan dishes.

3.00pm to 4.00pm
Edward’s Catering specialises in private and corporate caterng events and will be demonstrating what they can offer.
With plenty of tasters.


4.00pm to 5.00pm
The Ministry of Chocolate. Join Carl Turner for a short talk on the history and origins of chocolate followed by a chocolate tasting session and a demonstration on how to make chocolate Ganche and chocolate truffles. Carl will round off his demonstration with some chocolate and wine pairing.

Saturday 15 August

11.00am to 12.00 noon
Craig McDonall, head chef from Voda Bar and Grill will be preparing dishes from their popular restaurant menu.

12.00 noon to 1.00pm
Barrington Douglas from Discovery Bay will be cooking coconut crust red snapper with a pineapple salsa and tenderloin pork rubbed with blue mountain coffee on a bed of crushed yam with a watermelon chutney.

1.00pm to 3.00pm
Real Radio presenters Pete Edgerton and Sarah Graham will be going head to head in our “Ready Steady Cook” style competition helped by local chefs Tim Bilton from The Butchers Arms and Simon Treherne from Orlando's

3.00pm to 4.00pm
Temujin will be cooking Sweet and Sour Chicken Stir Fry with Noodles.

4.00pm to 5.00pm
The Chef from the Huddersfield Hotel will be cooking some of his favourite dishes from their menu.


Sunday 16 August

12.00 noon to 1.00pm
Cynthia Matheson and Simon Hallas from Kirklees College will be demonstrating Chicken Tagine, Moroccan Cous Cous and homemade Hummus.

1.00pm – 2.00pm
Yorkshire Chef of the Year Tim Bilton from The Butchers Arms in Hepworth will be demonstrating some of his favourite dishes. To read more about Tim BiltoClick here


2.00pm – 3.00pm
The chef from Shang Thai will be showing us all how to make Thai Red Curry Beef, Sweet and Sour Chicken and Vegetarian Spring Rolls.

3.00pm – 4.00pm
Come down and experience an Australian ‘twist' to Temujins famous stir fry. David will delight your taste buds with Kangaroo, lemon, lime, red wine and garlic stir fry.
