History
Huddersfield Town Centre Management was established in 1995 within the Government’s Single Regeneration Programme for Huddersfield (Huddersfield Pride). The Town Centre Management team (TCM) reported to a TCM Steering Group and forged close links with the Huddersfield Business Association and the Marketing Huddersfield Partnership. In 2000 the Huddersfield Town Centre Association (HTCA) was created by the union of these three groups with a common aim: the promotion of Huddersfield.

In 2006, the Association changed its status and became the Huddersfield Town Centre Partnership Limited (HTCPL), a company limited by guarantee. Supported by a matching contribution from Kirklees Council (KC) the Partnership has grown significantly over the last three years, with the Council confirming its continuing commitment to support Town Centre Management in its current budget.
