Free Car Parking
in Huddersfield this Christmas
Kirklees Council have once again been preparing the town for the season’s festivities. Demand for parking increases, so please note the parking signs around the ring road as they will advise you where parking is available.

Even at the busiest times parking is normally available at Cambridge Road Car Park and on Saturdays, parking will normally be available at the St Andrew’s Road Car Park.

As in previous years, there will be free parking on street and in all Kirklees controlled car parks after 4pm on Thursdays from 15th November until 20th December.

On Sundays, parking will be free all day from 2nd December until 23rd December on street and in all Kirklees controlled car parks.

Remember that car parking is free on all bank holidays in Kirklees, so no charges are applicable on Wednesday 26th December and Tuesday 1st January.

Boxing Day Bus Service Trials by Metro
Between 9am and 6pm on Boxing Day half-hourly bus services on busy routes into Huddersfield will be funded by Metro. Operating a £2 flat fare for travel all day, each adult will be able to take one child free of charge. MetroCards and free concessionary passes can be used. www.wymetro.com.

Don’t forget about the Free Town Bus that will help transport those weary legs and heavy bags around the town.
